The service

RaRa (app.rara.recipes) is a private recipe archive operated by Backroad AS, org. no. 934 341 929, Bergen, Norway. RaRa is developed continuously: features may be added, changed or retired with reasonable care, and material changes that affect you are announced in the app.

Accounts

You join RaRa by creating an account or by accepting an invitation to an archive. You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in and for keeping your credentials to yourself. Archive administrators decide who is invited into their archive and with what role.

Your content

What you record stays yours. You give Backroad AS the technical licence needed to operate the service — to store, back up, display to your archive’s members, and process your content with the assistant as described in the privacy notice. We claim no other rights, and the licence ends when the content is deleted. Only add material you have the right to add; recipes as such are not protected by copyright, but copied creative text and other people’s photographs can be.

Acceptable use

No unlawful content, no harassment, no attempts to break, probe or overload the service, no access to archives you were not invited into, and no automated scraping. We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will say why.

The assistant

The assistant helps record and shape recipes. It can misread or misunderstand — you review your own drafts, and anything it suggests (temperatures, times, substitutions) is a suggestion, not professional advice.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Backroad AS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid for the service in that period and NOK 1,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you use RaRa as a consumer, nothing here limits the mandatory rights you hold under the law of your country of residence.

Ending and changes

You can leave and take your content with you (export or deletion) at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and may discontinue the service only with reasonable notice and a way to take your content with you. Material changes to these terms are announced in the app at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date is acceptance.

Law and disputes

Norwegian law applies, and legal venue is Hordaland tingrett, Norway. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules, or of your right to bring or defend proceedings, in your country of residence.
